Using food to heal

I’m really passionate about the idea of using food as medicine—because honestly, that’s what it was always meant to be. Before we ever had pharmacies or prescriptions, people leaned on the earth for healing. Our bodies were designed to thrive on the nutrients that come straight from real food—fruits, veggies, herbs, and spices that do more than just fill us up. They fuel us, heal us, and help keep everything in balance.

For me, it’s not about obsessing over diets or restrictions. It’s about looking at food differently—seeing a plate of colorful veggies or a warm bowl of soup as more than just “dinner,” but as something that’s actively working for my body. I love knowing that the choices I make in my kitchen can boost my energy, support my immune system, calm inflammation, and even lift my mood.

When I say “food as medicine,” I’m not talking about anything complicated. It’s just about getting back to the basics, remembering that food was created with purpose, and that purpose is to help us thrive.

Parenting can be hard, it’s one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever had. Some days it feels like I’ve nailed it, other days it feel like I’ve taken three steps back. Behind every “put together” family photo is a story of spilled juice, tears (sometimes mine), and a messy living room. Every parent out there is doing their best trying to navigate the chaos of parenthood, some days it feels like we don’t know what we’re doing—and that’s okay! Even on your hardest days just remember, we’re in this together.
